Doherty

Born on 23 November 2005, Doherty came through the Blackburn Rovers academy, having joined at a young age and progressing through their youth and U21 ranks. After signing his first professional contract with Blackburn, he left the club at the end of the 2024–25 season.
On 1 August 2025, Doherty signed for King’s Lynn Town FC on a free transfer, joining the Linnets ahead of the 2025/26 campaign. The move marked his first permanent senior club outside of Blackburn and gave him the opportunity to establish himself in regular first-team football at National League North level.
Known for his defensive awareness, athleticism and versatility (able to play centrally or at right-back), Doherty has become a key part of Lynn’s defensive unit as a young but reliable presence.
