Ubaezuonu

Born in South Africa, Carlton grew up in County Mayo in the Republic of Ireland.

It was in Ireland that he began his footballing career with Dundalk. Over the following years, Carlton featured for a number of Irish clubs, including Longford Town, Athlone Town and two spells with Galway United, making more than 50 appearances for the Tribesmen.

Carlton moved to England in 2022, signing for Farsley Celtic, before joining Chorley ahead of the 2023/24 season.

In 2024, Carlton signed for Scunthorpe United, where he played a key role in the club's promotion-winning campaign to the National League.

Carlton joined the Linnets in March 2026.
