King’s Lynn Town Football Club are delighted to announce the loan signing of Jamal Mohammed from West Bromwich Albion on an initial one-month loan deal.

Born in Camden, Jamal spent two years in Peterborough United’s academy before joining West Bromwich Albion at the age of 15. Now 20 years old, Jamal has risen through the ranks of the Baggies’ academy, becoming a regular feature in their Under-21s and Under-23s sides.

While he is yet to make a senior appearance for the Baggies, Jamal has featured twice on the bench for West Brom in Championship fixtures against Hull City and Burnley.

Jamal also spent time on loan in Step 3 last season, enjoying a short spell with Gloucester City FC.

Linnets manager Paul Caddis had this to say about Jamal’s arrival:

“I’m really pleased to welcome Jamal Mohammed to King’s Lynn Town on a one-month loan from West Bromwich Albion.

At 6ft 4in, Jamal brings size, stature and athleticism to our defensive unit, and having trained with us yesterday, he showed exactly the qualities we were looking for when bringing him into the group.

I’m really pleased to add him to our squad and look forward to seeing him develop, contribute and get some valuable experience with us.

I’d also like to thank Chris Brunt and everyone at West Bromwich Albion for trusting us to look after one of their players. We really appreciate the support they have shown us throughout the process.

Welcome to King’s Lynn, Jamal. We look forward to seeing you in action.”
