King’s Lynn Town are delighted to confirm the loan signing of Layton Love from Kidderminster Harriers.
Layton joins the Linnets on a short-term loan.
A graduate of the West Bromwich Albion academy, Layton spent 12 years with the Baggies, making his debut for the club in the FA Cup in 2024 against Aldershot Town.
While at West Brom, Layton gained National League North experience with a loan spell at Brackley Town in 2023.
Layton signed for Kidderminster Harriers in March 2026 and was part of the Harriers’ play-off-winning side at the end of last season.
Linnets manager Paul Caddis had this to say upon Layton’s arrival:

Standing at 6ft 4in, Layton gives us a different dimension in the forward areas. He is a striker who works extremely hard for his team, possesses a real physical presence and has the instincts and qualities to pose a significant threat in and around the penalty area.
Layton came through the highly regarded West Bromwich Albion academy, where he received an excellent footballing education under Richard Beale and the academy staff. That grounding, alongside his physical attributes and natural striker instincts, makes him a player we believe can make a real impact for us.
