King’s Lynn Town Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Tom Scott.
Tom joins us as our ninth summer signing.
A versatile box to box midfielder, Tom is graduate of the Northampton academy, Tom joined Sunderland in 2021 after an impressive trial period. Where he played regularly for their under-21s in the Premier League 2. Tom made his only professional appearance for the Black Cats against Manchester United Under 21s in the EFL Trophy.
After leaving Sunderland in 2023, Tom had spells at Banbury Town, as well as his second spell at Kettering, where he previously spent time on loan while at Sunderland. Before signing for Oxford City in the 2024/25 season, where he made over 65 appearances in the National League North across two seasons.
Tom has this to say upon signing for the club:
“I’m excited to be here, I’ve been here a few times and there’s always been a good fan base so I’m excited
I want to build on last season, personally it was a good season for me.”

Tom is a box-to-box midfielder who I believe has a really bright future ahead of him. He brings tremendous energy, incredible fitness and a fantastic all-round game. As well as having an eye for goal, he possesses the vision and quality to create chances for his teammates, and those are attributes I felt were important to add to our squad.
We’ve remained in contact throughout the summer, and Tom is another player we’ve had to be patient with. I’m pleased that patience has paid off for both Tom and ourselves, and we’re delighted to finally get the deal over the line.
Tom’s quality is reflected in the numbers. He finished last season ranked in the top four in our division for assist-to-minutes ratio, which highlights the creative influence he can have on games. He’s a player who consistently makes things happen in the final third, and I’m confident he’ll add another dimension to our midfield.
As I’ve said before, we’re committed to bringing in players who genuinely improve the group rather than rushing into signings. Tom fits exactly the profile of player we want at King’s Lynn Town, and I believe he’ll play an important role in what we’re building here.
